If you have pre-clinic lab orders, please make sure you complete lab tests at least 3 business days prior to the visit.

You can always see an endocrine specialist without a referral except for HMO insurance
plans. Patients with Medicaid (United Health Community Plan) will need a referral.
Referrals are a way to share medical records to other doctors therefore, it is always recommended to have a referral. 

This will vary among doctors. However, it is considered to be reasonable. Please go to

An endocrinologist will do a history, physical, review of your labs, and other medical records.
Typically, further blood work or plan will be made at that time. Recommendations will be
provided at the first visit.
